Rainbows, Reading and Rascals
Kindergarten is a magical place to be and I am honored to be an important step in my students' lives. I started this blog to help me document what we have been doing and it certainly has NOTHING to do with not having ANY memory....ha, ha!!!

Missing in Action
I know I have been missing in action! It has been a tough couple years, but I hope to blog more frequently. My school district adopted a new math series this year, "My Math". It has a wealth of resources and A LOT of worksheets. We tried to use the curriculum but with over half ELL students we had to back up and work on skills they were missing. So now we are basically creating our own curriculum....ugh!!! I hope to post more about my journey while creating new math centers and lessons.

Veteran's Day
Well, I am back in the land of the living...sorry it has been so long since I have posted. Health issues and life events have prevented me from having time to post along with the belief that I am only talking to myself ;) I am super excited that I have finally finish a packet that includes the patterns for my Veteran's Day soldiers. I hope that you will check it out.
$6 for the packet, which is only $1.50 for each soldier. |

Puffy Snowmen
I have been home for over a week with the flu and pneumonia...ugh! I am going back tomorrow and I have to say that I REALLY miss my kids!!! Our 100th Day is on Thursday so I better rest up now!!! I will post pictures of our fun 100 day activities on Friday!!
This was a really fun project. It is not an original idea by any means. I mixed 1/2 glue and 1/2 shaving cream....roughly-no measuring involved...and then let the kids glob it on. They thought it was pretty cool.
The preschool teachers have used this recipe to make cupcake frosting or whipped cream on Thanksgiving pie. Something different and fun!!

February Smartboard Math Review
Sooo, I am home with the flu, pneumonia, and beginning of mono. UGH! Yesterday was a tough day, but I am feeling a little better today. I sit in my recliner with my head braced against the back so when I cough it doesn't hurt so much AND my laptop in my lap. I am thankful for blogs and Pintrest because that is about all I can do.....surf the Internet or sleep.
I am super excited about a Smartboard File I created that reviews the math skills for our AIMS testing. It took awhile to create, but I know the kids will love it.

I wanted to give an update to anyone who might have purchased items from my Teachers Pay Teachers Store during the fundraiser for Sandy Hook Elementary. I was so honored to be a part of this group who raised $2,155 for the teachers from Sandy Hook Elementary. My contribution was hardly worth mentioning, but it makes me proud to be a part of a cohort who cares about each other.
Little Miss Glamour Goes to Kindergarten organized the fundraiser and I appreciate that she made this happen!!!
